Project 365 ~ 211

Day two of our Portland excursion. We hit the Portland Saturday Market. So much to look at, so much to see, so many people. Busy, but beautiful.

Project 365 ~ 210

Headed to Portland for a quick overnight trip with the Camelot Crew moms. I love these ladies. We walked, shopped, talked and laughed - everything a trip with your besties should be!

We did a lot of shopping and I have a hard time taking pictures inside stores, so I didn't actually take many shots. But I did see this interesting window and awning art at one of our first stops.

Project 365 ~ 206

this is another fill picture, I took it while Husband and I were in Seattle.

It is an artist working on a new totem pole that is being put up in honor of John T. Williams who was tragically shot and killed in a misunderstanding in downtown Seattle.

Project 365 ~ 203

Husband and I took the kiddos to the zoo today. Thank goodness for the Brandywine Zoo Membership in Delaware - saved us $69.50! We had a great time watching the animals enjoy the sunshine, along with what seemed like half of Seattle too. Despite the crowds though, the fuzzies were out in full force. It was awesome. We even happened across the Grizzly bears at feeding time!

As you can see, I added a few extra pictures to previous days to "fill-in" for the days I've missed. I'm telling you. Summer schedules are insane! Thanks for your patience.

Warrior Dash.

3.5 miles of mud, obstacles, fire and more mud.

Rachelle, our official photographer, was naive if she thought she was safe.

Wine and saving money.

Got a few bottles to try from Grocery Outlet. I'm not terribly snobby so they shouldn't be bad, with a little luck anyway!

Project 365 ~ 195

The kids spent the week at Grandma and Grandpa's so Husband and I had free time! We spent today up in Seattle. Pike's place, Starbucks and the gum wall.

Project 365 ~ 193

We have very little cupboard space in our kitchen. A pot-rack was just the answer! Between Grandpa Gene and my dad one was built for us out of our stair railing we took down in our living room remodel. Practical and Frugal. awesome.

Project 365 ~ 192

The other day I mentioned Husband played a small gig. What I didn't mention was the stress level of arriving at said show. One of those stresses was that the brake lights on our van went out on the van. Ugh. But with a little research, a phone call to Dad, and a quick trip to schucks we're back in business, Baby!

Project 365 ~ 189

I bought two watermelon's for D's birthday party. One of them was not very tasty. So I thought I'd try dehydrating it.

for the record: it's not good.

Project 365 ~ 188

Husband was asked to join a friend at his art show. He brought his guitar and played a few songs at the Triple Door.

He's my own rock star.

M.I.A.

Here's the deal...
I'm behind. Way behind. not so much on the actual pictures because with a family of 5 there is often SOMETHING I'm capturing every day with the camera. However, with the arrival of summer(ish) we just get busy, or I force myself outside to enjoy every split second of sunshine as it has been obnoxiously scarce this spring! I'm attempting to play catch up over the next day or two. I apologize for all the missed days. As the photos are uploaded most of them were actually taken on the date they are posted for. A few, in order to fill holes, have been moved around just a bit, but they all were taken in June.

Goodnight, and good luck.

Project 365 ~ 185

Happy Independence Day!

We spent the evening with friends having bbq and enjoying the fireworks from the neighbors across the street.

I couldn't choose between the two, a traditional fireworks shot or this one of the kids enjoying their sparklers. So you get both. BONUS!

Project 365 ~ 183

while camping we found a big rope swing in the woods. Chicken decided she was an aerialist in training.
