Where do I begin? I hate days like these. Where I feel like there is so much that needs to get done but have no desire to do any of it. Until I am painfully reminded how chaotic and messy it all really is. If I could make a list of all the chores, and see them get marked off perhaps that would help? But what happens when new things get added and then I have to go back and redo the first seven because as the days move along the mess returns, the weeds grow back, the bikes get used, the recycle builds up, papers come home, dishes need washing...
Some days I want to just pull it ALL out, make a great big pile at the end of the driveway and put a "free" sign on it.
I know this isn't a 'correctly composed' photograph. But it is...my life.
Oh, girl.
ReplyDeleteI know that face so very, very well.
It's just...Sisyphean sometimes, yes?
And the worst part is you have to keep going...
even though the couch and a margarita are SO much more appealing.
...Um...can you give yourself a reward after every task?
Like an hour to read?
Or your favorite dessert?
Sometimes that helps me on days where I just don't know how to start.
*love*
Oh that's my life too!
ReplyDeleteYep! We all have those days.
ReplyDelete#1 put the kids to WORK!
#2 Make that list and keep checking it, you WILL get it done.
#3 Play some Christian music LOUD, while you work./clean.
#4 light a candle, it always helps!
#5 If there is too much SIMPLIFY! It's a beautiful thing and we REALLY don't need ALL of this CRAP. :)
I can sympathize. I really appreciate the realness of this pic.
